Supervision of vessels of less than 15 metres

Fishing vessels of less than 15 metres in overall length are checked by so-called approved companies in order to ensure that the vessels are constructed and equipped in accordance with the requirements currently in force.

Approved companies are private companies which have been issued an official permit to conduct supervision of fishing vessels on behalf of the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA).
